The new Krypton FXG50 is here, the latest and best thermal attachment in the Pulsar range. The Krypton FXG50 utilises a full 640 x 480 microblometer and new Amoled 1760 x 1000 pixel screen to give you the best quality in a thermal attachment. As well as this the Krypton has wifi, video recording and live streaming to a tablet or phone. The biggets advaantage to the wifi - in conjunction with the free Streamvision app - is that your thermal device can be continually updated when new improvements and capabilities come out.
The Krypton utilises a new magnesium alloy casing which is more rigid but also dissipates heat better. It also now utilises our IPS range of batteries so is compatible with your Helion, Accolade and Trail thermals. Naturally you use your thermal in all conditions so the Krypton FXG50 is IPX7 rated, meaning you can safely use it in any rain, sleet or snow.
These are always extremes, but the Krypton FXG is rated at a 2100m detection distance. This is detecting a 1.8m high, 80 kg object - remember that is detecting it as a warm object, not identifying it! The recommend maginification range 1.5 to 6 times and we would definitely suggest keeping to this range.
