Which Torch to choose?
Wildlife Photography Torches
The X-Beam Red is a firm favourite of wildlife photographers, wildlife tour operators, and zoos across Australia. The red light allows observation without disturbing animals, while the white option ensures safety for the user. The red wavelength also enables long lenses to autofocus effectively.
Police, Law Enforcement, Military
Recommended torches for general duty officers, specialist units, and rural applications.
Hunting Torches
High-output torches for hunters, with long throw and adjustable beams.
General Torches
Rechargeable, compact torches suitable for everyday or professional use.
Night Vision Compatible Torches (Infra Red / IR)
IR torches enhance digital and image-intensifying night vision without visible light. Wolf Eyes offers 850nm (slightly visible red LED) and 940nm (stealth) wavelengths.
Headlamps
Rechargeable LED headlamps with front controls for intuitive operation. All use LRB168A or LRB168P lithium-ion batteries for long runtime and balance.

Choosing the right torch depends on your application. Whether law enforcement, hunting, wildlife photography, or professional use, Wolf Eyes torches are designed for high performance.
Light Source
Incandescent: Full spectrum light, high power use, produces heat, limited durability.
HID: High output, full spectrum, requires large reflector, delay to full power.
LED: Durable, low power consumption, high output, narrow spectrum (can be tailored for IR, blue, or other wavelengths).
Power Source
Lithium-ion batteries are premium: high energy density, operate in sub-zero temperatures, rechargeable. Alternatives (AA, C, D) are widely available but offer lower performance in high-output torches.
Regulation
Electronic regulation maintains brightness as battery voltage drops, prevents LED overheating and solves LED droop, ensuring maximum efficiency and lifespan.
Beam Type
Reflector Beam: Spot surrounded by flood; ideal for searching or room clearing.
Aspheric Beam: Adjustable spot-to-flood; ideal for distance applications like wildlife photography or scope use.
