The Pulsar Accolade thermal imaging binoculars are now here and everything we had expected. We have supplied quite a few pairs over the last few months and you may well have seen the videos on the net by people like Anthony from Geelong who has made clips with the binoculars we supplied. These units have 1800 metres of detection on the Accolade XP50 version and 1350 on the Acolade XQ38 version. these give you the ability to see through darkness, fog, smoke, long grass and light bush. We are surprised at the uses these units are being put to beyond the obvious of animal detection and law enforcement use, we hear of animal stock control, search and rescue, finding lost patients on grounds, finding lost animals, finding people and animals through the smoke of bushfires - even just finding the family dog when it wanders away!
The Pulsar Accolade are thermal binoculars with high resolution stereo displays featuring a high refresh rate of 50 hz so moving objects are observed easily and with smooth motion. A very comfortable size to always have the benefit of thermal imaging with you. They have all the Streamvision features which are common to the Trail and Helion range, meaning you can stream live vision direct to your phone or tablet. This makes it much easier when working in pairs or as a team - or even for wildlife tours. Your partners can see in real time what you are seeing through the eyepieces, allowing everyone to have perfect knowledge of what is happening and any opportunities or dangers which lie ahead.
This same technolgy also allows recording which is essential for evidentiary purposes in law enforcement or peacekeeping duties but also pretty useful when discussing shared vermin problems with neighbours or sharing vision of rare animals. Of course if you know where bigfoot is or a black panther this vision could be worth real money!
The same Streamvision allows you to update your software in your thermal binoculars, meaning your binoculars are kept up to date with the latest developments and algorithms. These are modest in size, only 164x130x64 mm and 600 grams in weight. They share the same battery as our Trail, Helion, and Digisight Ultra series making compatability easy.
05.0419 Update: The Pulsar shipment has just arrived and no LRF Accolades arrived. Frustrating as they were expected. Next shipment due first week May, LRF are very tight. Call for more info.
